01. INTRODUCTION
Creativity, the driving force behind innovation and idea development, is vital in shaping works and designs within the community. It empowers individuals to explore the creative process, embrace new ideas, and adopt fresh perspectives. In this context, the concept of community emerges as an essential element in supporting and expanding the creative ecosystem. Community serves as a focal point that builds relationships, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and promote valuable collaborations among designers, artists, and the creative community. On the other side, concerning social enterprise, community-based businesses may directly engage the community (Spreckley, F., 1978).

Moreover, space is emerging as a critical component in cultivating environments that boost creativity and encourage collaboration within these communities. Space encompasses physical environments and the value of a network of social interactions and individual relationships. This research explores the influence of cross-disciplinary involvement, social interactions within creative communities, to enlighten the organic processes underpinning thriving and coordinated creative ecosystems. It seeks to redefine the transformative potential of encouraging a connected and creative ecosystem within the community set as the goal by investigating the interplay between actor, collaborator, and community.

Creative community spaces play an important role as shared spaces, providing a multi-functional environment for individuals and collectives to connect, collaborate, and explore their creativity while embracing community values. In Bandung, these spaces are often driven by community initiatives, serving various purposes including education, culture, and commerce.

05. CASE STUDY: BANDUNG, INDONESIA
Bandung, the capital city of West Java, Indonesia’s most populated province, is located at about 700 meter above sea level. Surrounded by mountains that are rich with productive plantations of coffee, tea, and quinine since the Dutch colonial era, with an average temperature of 210 C throughout the year, Bandung has become an attractive city. Its reputation as a place for leisure, culinary, and fashion experience remains up to this day. Bandung City that was designed based on European Garden City style in 1810 to be inhabited by 300,000 people is currently home to approximately 2 million citizens, of which 68% are below 40 years of age (BPS, 2016). The fact that there are more than 120 universities and higher education institutions — of which at least
10 have majors in art, design, architecture — and research centres in Bandung, also approximately 400 vocational training centres, has added to the characteristics of Bandung as a city of youth, who always needs and/or creates places to gather and express themselves, and has therefore organically determined the urban dynamics of Bandung City. Concerning creative economy sector, the following numbers show the actual potentials of Bandung and its surrounding area. (Bandung Report UCCN, 2019)

Since December 2015, Bandung has been recognized as part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in the category of City of Design (Cities of Design Network: Bandung, 2015). Its rich educational landscape also attracts people from different regions, who come together and organize innovative programs of various scales, held in various spaces in Bandung (Larasati, 2014). In fact, 56% of economic activity in Bandung is related to the design industry; apparel, graphic design and digital media being the top three subsectors in the local creative economy (UNESCO: Bandung, 2015).

06. FINDINGS & FUTURE POSSIBILITIES:
Our findings highlight the growing significance of creative community spaces in Bandung and their potential to facilitate knowledge production and distribution, especially among practitioners and academics. However, to unlock the potential of such spaces, we believe that a comprehensive social impact map is essential to guide future initiatives and ensure engagement with the wider community.

In conclusion, this research sets the foundation for understanding and utilizing the social impact of creative community spaces in Bandung, leading the way for future possibilities and collaborations that enrich the cultural landscape and empower the local creative economy.
